We got chatting to SJ Barker about her efforts in raising money for McMillan Cancer Support with the help of Agri Weld and some other brilliant sponsors.

We called to the Air Ambulance Northern Ireland base to meet David from City of Derry YFC and Glenn from AANI to find out all about the fundraiser the Young Farmers Club are holding involving their Fendt Farmer 1Z and how they plan to support the Air Ambulance team.

Foster Care Fortnight? Monday 10th May 2021 launched Foster Care Fortnight - "Each one of us can make a difference, together we can make a change". We, at GRASSMEN, care about fostering because every kid is only one caring adult away from success! As you know we here at GRASSMEN always try our best to do some charity work when we can. Our most recent efforts were on behalf of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, we as a company provided the stock and our amazing employees gave up their time to embroider and pack hats, polos and snood's for the AANI to sell to help raise vital funds to keep them in the Air! ?

You may remember us taking part in a 24 Hour Walk a few weeks ago to raise funds for the Helping Hands Charity based in the PICU ward at Royal Victoria Hospital. Since then Hannah Smyth has amazed us all with her recovery so we paid a visit to the Smyth farm in Ballycastle last week to bale their fourth cut with the aim of raising some last minute funds for the charity. We also thought Ryan would enjoy a go on the Reiter Merger to see how it would fair on their organic crop.
We would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the fundraising efforts so far and we hope to be handing over the cheque to the children's ward very soon!

Something very different but vitally important from us this evening. We wanted to recognise World Suicide Prevention Day by promoting awareness about mental health. Anyone is capable of suffering and Donkey wanted to introduce us to his method of taking care of his own mental wellbeing. Thanks to George Elliott from Fitness To Perfection for taking the time to have a chat about what he calls "The Elephant in the Room".

From subsoiling to pulling a K2 trainer we certainty set the Valtra to hard work over the lockdown period.

At the weekend we witnessed these guys take on a challenge that we couldn't attempt in our wildest dreams! 24 hours of non stop walking. They came up against wind, rain and baking sun not to mention multiple blisters and seized muscles all in aid of Helping Hand, a charity for the children's ward in Belfast Royal Hospital. We went along to show our support and to try and capture their journey as best we could.
