Getting Down and Dirty!
After subsoiling the 'commission' field at the barn we then spent an entire day prepping it to be sewn with grass seed before the bad weather came back in. There's no doubt its been a learning curve for everyone involved but hopefully we've done enough to improve the quality of grass for Farmer Gareth's cows.
SUBSOILING AT HQ - This field is in need of some TLC!
We've been making the most of the dry weather to help Farmer Gareth sort out a field that is no longer producing high quality grass for his cows. Donkey knows soil so he's enjoying putting his past seed salesman knowledge to good use!
DONKEYCAM - We were due an upgrade!
We needed to change out the old filming workhorse so went shopping at Jamison Landrover Specialists in Dervock ??

You may remember our visit to Dennison JCB during our Virtual Lockdown Show back in May. When there Donkey and Gary talked about the idea of trying out a new digger. Well, the guys at Dennison's listened and called us the other day to let us know there was a brand new 140X waiting for us at the yard. Needless to say we didn't take any persuasion!

On a wet day we've finally got a look at the JF and the damage we created at the barn the other night!
Can the 1455 make the JF sing?
Ask any Grassfan what the sound of silage is and they will probably say ‘the hum of a JF harvester’ Couple that to a 1455 with a straight pipe and you have a chart topping album!!
We see how the JF Centres modified 1100 gets on in some second cut at Grassmen HQ! Enjoy!!
